Nebraska Center for Nursing Board

The Nebraska Center for Nursing Board was created by the Nebraska Legislature in 2000 to implement the major functions of the Center for Nursing. The Board consists of sixteen members who are appointed to fill the following roles:

  • Ten members selected by the Governor, including
    • One licensed practical nurse
    • One representative of the hospital industry
    • One representative of the long-term care industry
  • One nurse educator recommended by the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska
  • One nurse educator recommended by the Nebraska Community College Association
  • One nurse educator recommended by the State Board of Health
  • Three members recommended by the State Board of Health
