Colette Kroeten, MSN, RN
Professor Colette Kroeten has demonstrated exemplary teaching effectiveness while at the College of Saint Mary. She has contributed in the development of multiple courses in a new BSN program curriculum and has led the implementation of the first year of courses. Students consistently praise Professor Kroeten for her supportiveness, patience, and effective methodologies in the classroom. She is a role model for both students and faculty. Colette has such an infectious, positive attitude and her passion for teaching is demonstrated daily. Colette is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International’s Gamma Pi-at-Large Chapter and a member of the Executive Board since 2011. She was instrumental in the chapter receiving a Chapter Key Award. In addition, she chairs the Scholarship/Awards committee in the chapter and is a member of the Nebraska Nurses Association. Colette consistently serves as a preceptor for MSN students and mentors new faculty within and outside the nursing program. Colette serves as a parish nurse, organizes book studies, and has served as the Vice-Regent for Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She also serves as a nurse volunteer for the Disaster Triage Team in Fremont, Nebraska and regularly volunteers during service opportunities at the College of Saint Mary, focusing on the underserved. She is also an active member at multiple college committees.
